Gestalt Psychotherapist & Counsellor, Buddhist Psychology,

Justine is a Gestalt Psychotherapist and Counsellor offering Transformational Counselling, Relationship Counselling and one-on-one Self-Compassion and Mindfulness Training at the Mudita Health Clinic.
She first came across Gestalt Therapy in 1994 and was immediately taken by this powerful approach to growth and inner change. She also met Zen Master Hogen Yamahata Roshi (pictured with Justine) around this time and became his student. Buddhism and Psychotherapy have been twin threads in her life and now inform her clinical practice.
She has completed a two year program for health professionals integrating Buddhism and Psychotherapy, run by the Association of Buddhist Counsellors & Psychotherapists (AABCAP) in Sydney. For many years she was the Holistic Counsellor and Transformational Therapist at Gwinganna Lifestyle Retreat in Southern Queensland where she also helped facilitate retreats. Previously she has worked for Relationships Australia as a Relationships Counsellor and Family Therapist, as a Counsellor for a merchant bank with stressed investors following the GFC and in private practice in Northern NSW and Brisbane.
Justine is a Member of GANZ (Gestalt Australia and New Zealand), PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia) and AABCAP (Association of Buddhist Counsellors & Psychotherapists). Her articles have been published on international websites and she is a founding Committee Member of Compassionate Mind Australia, the national-hub for compassion research and training in Australia.
Justine is married and lives in Mullumbimby with her husband, Doko, three children, and Pumpkin the cat.
