“I recently started counselling sessions with Justine having reached a plateau with a previous counsellor. I was looking for someone with a deep sense of empathy to help me be less hard on myself, not someone who was going to push me to keep ‘doing’ rather than ‘being’. What I have found so wonderful about working with Justine is that she gets to the heart of the matter - the essence of whatever it is - seemingly in seconds, but without needing a huge background story. Gently, sensitively and with great compassion she takes me to the feeling place of where I need to go and we work with whatever comes up. I thoroughly recommend her!”

What is Transformational Counselling & Psychotherapy?

Transformational Psychotherapy combines the best of psychotherapy and counselling with the best of modern self-compassion and mindfulness approaches so you can deal with your past and find your way forward – both personally and in your relationships. It draws on Gestalt Therapy, Buddhist Psychology, Positive Psychology, Compassion-Focussed Therapy and the latest in Neuroscience.

These approaches are great for learning how to create and experience emotional stability. By developing timeless qualities that help us stop beating ourselves up all the time we can go to the next level - actually making friends with ourselves! We discover a whole different world within us, around us and between us when we head in the direction of loving presence and good friends!

Who’s it for and what’s it good for?

Transformational Psychotherapy is good for exactly where you are right now, wherever that may be. You could be experiencing depression, anxiety, relationships difficulties, addictions or something more vague like ‘i’m just not happy and i don’t know why’. Or you could be feeling pretty good but somehow not quite creating the future you want. It is for specific issues as well as the more subtle challenges to growth and transformation. And it is for individuals, families or couples.

What will I get out of the sessions?

Some specific outcomes are:

> deeply grounded internal stability (mind and heart, warmth, patience and precision).

>  keep a cool head, know how to stop endless ‘reacting without thinking’.

> cultivate self-compassion, there truly are ‘good friends’ inside us all.

> develop relationship skills (how to listen to others but first how to listen to all our ‘selves’ )

> understand and practice mindfulness (the Mudita Institute is a mindfulness training institute after all - so developing this skill is a given!)

> a practical ‘seed’ model for understanding and working with the mind

> real skill caring for and unpacking the difficult, anxious, isolated, painful and distressed seeds that are within us all

> practice and experience feeling into real maturity and self-responsibility

> discover a more relaxed you...
